Ingredients
  • 1 Large Slice Sour Dough Bread (Cut in halves)
  • 2 Tbsp Corn Starch
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Scoop Vegan Protein Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Plant-Based Milk (Soy milk for more protein)
  • Vegan Butter (For cooking)
  • Maple Syrup (For topping)
  • Mixed Berries (For topping)
  • Plant-Based Whipped Cream (Optional for topping)
  • Nutmeg (Optional for garnish)
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Batter

    In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, protein powder, baking powder, cinnamon, and plant-based milk until smooth.

  2. Dip the Bread

    Take each half slice of sourdough bread and dip it into the batter, ensuring both sides are evenly coated.

  3. Heat the Pan

    Place a pan over medium heat and add a small amount of vegan butter.
    Allow it to melt completely.

  4. Cook the French Toast

    Place battered bread slices into the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy.

  5. Assemble and Serve

    Stack the French toast on a plate and drizzle with maple syrup.
    Add your choice of mixed berries on top.
    Optional: finish with a plant-based whipped cream and sprinkle of nutmeg.
