If you’re looking for a fun, savory breakfast (or anytime snack) that feels a little elevated but comes together fast—these Breakfast Masala Skewers are it. This recipe takes roti (traditional South Asian bread) and transforms it by layering it with spiced, crispy fillings and folding it into skewers for a handheld, shareable bite.
The beauty of this dish is in the roti hack—instead of using it as a simple side, it becomes the structure of the dish. When layered with golden hash browns, bold masala spices, and protein-rich tofu, the roti soaks up all the flavor while crisping up beautifully on the grill or pan. The result is a perfect balance of crispy edges, soft layers, and warm, spiced comfort in every bite.
It’s fully plant-based, customizable, and ideal for brunch spreads, meal prep, or even a quick savory breakfast on the go. Serve it with a drizzle of tamarind sauce or your favorite chutneys for an extra punch of flavor.
